Terrell Willis, professionally know as T-Will is an American designer, beat maker and drummer. Starting his music career playing drums in the church and for local choirs, he has always had a love for music and art. T-Will is also an professional designer in the oil and gas industry.
T-Will started playing drums at the age of 11 and then transition to the MTV Music Generator to make beats. T-Will embarked on a beat making in the early 2000s for neighborhood and underground rap artists. After years of grinding in the Mississippi underground music scene, he began to focus his time and energy into school and working as a designer in the oil and gas field. He took time off from music while he focused on his career as a designer, while he continued to learn the ins and outs and the legality of the music production business. After getting a copy of then underground artist Big Kritt, See me on Top, he was motivated to begin making beats again.
As a musician T-Will gets inspiration from listening to other producers tracks that he admire in hip hop and in music general. T-Will credits “Deep Cover” by Dr. Dre as the first hip hop song and track that made him want to become a music producer. After years of persistence, he has honed his craft when it comes to making beats. He is a fan and admire producers Timbaland, Swizz Beats, Mannie Fresh, KLC, Jermaine Dupri, Organize Noise, Drumma Boy, Zaytoven, Mike Will, Scott Storch, Akon, Mike Dean, The Neptunes, Bangladesh, Just Blaze.
T-Will artistry is to not go the same route as the music is today, but come with a different sound and continue to develop as a beat maker and producer. I not only put in hard work but as well my emotions when I start my beats. I have always been known for having a strong work ethic, and a strong ear for music. T-Will drive is to one day become an in-demand professional music producer and entrepreneur. I believe my time working in the oil and gas industry has taught me the importance of negotiating deals and making good financial decisions when it comes to my music.
T-Will uses the music production software FL Studio to make his beats. His production style is distinguished by his hard hitting drums, heavy basslines, 808 kicks crisp hand-claps and hard-snares. He has recently been producing more melodic hip hop and trap style beats. With his production company Rim Shots Beats, T-will is looking to make a name for himself in the music industry as well as scoring music for movies, commercials and television shows.
