Loseph Jones was born Angelo Jones on May 18, 1989 in Atlanta, GA. After losing his father in 91, his baby sister in 92 and his mother in 94, he started rapping two years later with his cousins in a group. Even after he found out that his mother used to rap, he didn't understand his own love for music until it was all he had to turn to on rough days and cold nights. His music speaks on religion, relationships, struggle and strength all the like. Artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Outkast and UGK have been major rap influences for him, but he'd tell you that's he's an R&B guy who loves groups like Mint Condition, Dru Hill, Silk, Jagged Edge and 112.
With songs like Dom & Letty, he is able to tell a story or paint a picture of a situation in a simple, yet complex way. He takes a strategic approach towards his music that reaches the ears of listeners of all genres so that they can relate to it. If you listen for content, punch lines, lyricism or just for an overall good sound; you can find a mixture of all of that in his music. With a wide range of vocal sounds and musical approaches, he is able to fit in anywhere, on any song and stand out at the same time.
