Biography
Devante Greene aka Vante Poems did not have the best childhood growing up. Vante Poems was born on July 21st 1993 alongside his twin Shakeem Greene in Utica, NY, by his biological mother who was only 14 years old at the time and gave birth to her first borns in a group home. Although his mother was young she still did her best to try to raise her twins. That didn’t work out so well. When Vante Poems was around 6 or 7 years old, his mother was arrested for prostitution and possession of cocaine. Vante Poems and his siblings were sent to a foster home, and ever since then Vante Poems was filled with so much anger, towards people and trust was a big problem for the young Vante Poems. The first foster home did not work out so well since there were signs of abuse in the foster family. Because of that reason they were sent to another foster home and his new mother was name Diana Greene. Diana took them to church, took them on vacations, enrolled them into after school programs, and private schools. Devante, Shakeem (his twin) and Robert Greene (the youngest brother) all formed a bond with Diana and they looked to her as their biological mother. Diana adopted all three brothers and loved them as if they were their own. Devante was the troubled child out of the three. Always getting kicked out of school, detentions, suspensions, and can very disrespectful. His mother Diana enrolled him into the Scared Straight Program at 14 years old at a jail in Marcy, NY.......tbc
