Manooch Vahdat is an Iranian-American artist currently residing in the beautiful Northwest.
Born in 1956 on the longest day of the year in Tehran, Iran, Manooch became increasingly interested in the arts and music since childhood. He began playing gigs and weddings with various band as a teenager playing several instruments. Later when he moved to the United States in The mid 70’s he studied music theory and continued performing, composing and recording with various artists and musicians. Manooch has earned his bachelor degree from San Diego State University in 1989 and his focus in the recent years has been mainly his paintings. He gets his inspiration for his art through his passion for music, his love for family and friends, looking at old photographs and watching old movies.
