Travis Compton, aka Southern Struggle is an up-and-coming artist coming out of North Florida. Interested and “knee-deep” into anything associated with art, S.S. is a talented artist, poet, writer, and beat maker. He got his influence at a young age from genres such as old school r&b, soul, southern hip-hop, and any other form of lyrical expression. Some artist he is influenced by are Earth Wind & Fire, al green, U.G.K., oukast, B.g., nas, and even acts as recent as big. K.r.i.t. Southern Struggle has been writing music for over 10 years and recording music for 6 years. Being more focused on the art and meaning of music, Southern Struggle’s goal isn’t to “get rich” or “gain fame”. The ultimate goal is to strike different emotions and get the music out to the masses.
