If the song titles “LAMS” (Love Ain’t My Shit) and “Upside Down” don’t catch your attention, the voice, emotion, and realness behind the lyrics will captivate you. Although most would label him a singer, Houston, Texas native ChristopherSouL (born Adrian Griffin) is a true artist who recognizes that the music industry is losing its soul, and he is here to bring it back. His song “Girls Love Beyoncé”, a cover to a Drake song, caught the attention of music lovers through social media channels, and “Upside Down”, released in February 2015, opens the door to a new age R&B and Modern Soul genre. In less than 4 minutes the song expresses vulnerability, pain, heartbreak, and it leaves listeners with chills. “Upside Down” is the first single from ChristopherSouL’s newest project Abstrakt Soul, released in early March 2015. Abstrakt Soul exhibits lyrical content that cannot be heard anywhere else. Through every beat, verse and breath he tells a story. Simply put, if you have a heartbeat, you can identify with at least one of the tracks. ChristopherSouL is continually speaking life into himself, his music and those who are listening.
