Darren Jackson is an American HipHop/ Soul Artist From St. Louis Missouri. His passion for poetry emerged into hiphop around his senior year in highschool, and around the same time he started to teaching himself the piano. When Darren graduated, he attended the Art Institute of Los Angeles where he studied audio engineering for one year. Balancing school, music, and a wreckless party life proved to be counter productive for Darren's bright future, so he moved back to St. Louis and founded a internationally renowned & successful jobs and leadership program for inner-city men at a non profit organization. Inspired by the change his students were able to make, Darren decided to switch gears himself and pursue his passion in music full time. In 2014 he started his own record label, Edge Life Records, and signed himself as his first artist. Since then Darren has released two singles, is working on his upcoming EP, and is traveling around performing and creating relationships with new fans. His musical influences are Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, J. Cole, Macklemore, and other hiphip to pop cross over artist with a message.
