Male-female Hip Hop duo VERSUS [formally known as Rugrat Entertainment (ENT)] was formed by rapper/songwriter Sobeoyone "YannaBe" Southall and producer/rapper Marquel "Kidd Quel" Melton in Selma, AL on November 19, 2009. The then high school students surpassed the efforts of most local acts gaining over 2,000 internet fans, completing 2 albums full of original productions by Kidd Quel, and performing in front of numerous audiences as large as 3,000 people. Finally free of secondary education and higher learning obligations, the quick-tempo lyrical duo has big plans of making its place in the music industry full time and forever.
