Quentin Rashad Evans was born January 25, 1988 in Durham, North Carolina. Since birth he was surrounded by music. His mother, Karen and father, Zeb were local wedding singers in Durham NC, and surrounding areas. In the late 90's and early 2000's his mother was also part of phenomenal gospel groups, PHILLAH and The Anointed Masons. All of this inspired genius style music from Quentin Rashad, which is fusioned with Gospel, RnB, HipHop, Funk, Dance, Soul, and Classical music.
He first discovered this passion for music at Mt. Zion Christian Church, located on Fayetteville St. while listening to the Sanctuary Choir. He then joined forces with long-time friend, Joshua Chavis Sr. at the age of 13 to begin producing, using just keyboards and a tape recorder. 11 years later, while never putting his music on hold and continuing to work minimum wage jobs, he met another lover of music and great friend, Domonique Thompson. And there, the trio formed a publishing company and group titled "Mind Bending Genius Music Publishing".
Through many great ups and downs in life, Quentin Rashad has kept his music close as a release of great pain, love and his greatest weapon against negativity. Today Quentin Rashad has written and produced his very first EP entitled "L3O6V5E". Available for free download on Quentinrashad.com.
