Biog –
Kaytie Harding is a singer, choir and voice trainer, arranger and conductor. Her experiences as a freelance singer include The Shout, London Voices, London Sinfonietta Voices, The Bands of The Royal Marines, Three Sopranos, The Almost Elvis Band, The Lushes and the International Staff Songsters of the Salvation Army. However her passion lies with getting people to sing who thought they never would through her company, Voice From The Coal Shed. Kaytie travels around the country setting up choirs and working with choral directors, training them using her own developed technique to get non-singers singing. She is the Choral Director for Divas Undaunted (Southwater and Broadbridge Heath combined), TORCH, Village Voices, Proseccobellas and GospelChoir . Awards include West Sussex Business of The Year 2013 and two Business Personality of the Year awards for both West Sussex and The South of England.
Her new album ‘Summer Suns’ follows her debut album ‘Lights On A Hill’ 18 years ago! Her passion for preserving Salvation Army music led to this first album of incredible and little known composers. Along with renowned pianist Dr Howard Evans, they explore the beauty and innovation of composers such as Kenneth Downie, Barbara baylis, Leslie Condon and the legend that was Eric Ball.
Musical Director for Choiroke, Kaytie is also Creative Director for Voice From The Coal Shed and along with Projects Director Louise Shaw, they run choirs and workshops throughout West Sussex. Many people join her choirs believing themselves to be tone deaf and excluded from choirs. However, the Voice from The Coal Shed mantra – it’s not what it sounds like but what it feels like – and Kaytie’s innovative approach soon lifts their confidence and self-belief! We are very excited to announce that Divas Undaunted Reigate/Redhill begin on 5th March at St Matthews, Station Road, Redhill from 11:30-1:30!
