"Terry J."
An inspiring artist from Chattanooga,TN Terry "Terry J." Davis Jr. started out rapping at the age of 7 with his cousins. With his mother being in the church choir and his father playing drums in a local band, he was born into music. By the age of 12 he was introduced to the beat game when his long time friend Nicolas "Nucci Wansum" Bryant gave his him a disk that contained FL Studio 3. Ever since Terry J. never put down the keyboard. He struggled in high school, not because he couldn't do the work but, because of the money him and his partner where making selling marijuana. As a matter of fact he says he could've aced all of his classes but was blind to the fact. After graduating high school he moved to Nashville where Nucci was staying. There, Terry and Nucci created a song called " The Monkeyfeet". With Nucci's youngest son "Trevonte" putting a pair of boxing gloves he got for Christmas, on his feet and waddling around the house screaming "Look at my monkey feet!", Nucci laughed with joy making fun of the dance Trevonte was doing. While watching and overhearing from his room, Terry J. was in the middle of producing a beat and started to add " Do The Monkeyfeet" to the song, while Nucci was making a dance. What started as a cute joke turned into a major hit when Terry J. gave his mother a CD of the mixtape "Our Way" which had the song "The Monkeyfeet", when she visited him in Nashville.
