He began playing saxaphone and keyboard at the age of 8 then picking up trumpet and percussion in High school. Travysty found his passion for rapping after a life changing incident. His love for wordplay and swift lines came from inspiring artist such as Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, and Michael Jackson. Travysty then put together a "clique" which would be known as 3rd I based around his music and his homies. Talking about the realities of growing up in the southeast end of Newport News and game to the ladies; Travysty crafted his many styles. Now, At the age of 22, he plans on putting a "Diff3r3nt" message out there. He says, " This is the year of the Three! ".
