3NP Productions was created in 1999 on the south side of Chicago by EaZy. The production is an off-shoot of Smooth Flow Productions, Inc. headed EaZy's mentor and teacher, Smoove. EaZy started his musical foundation at the age of 9 when he played trumpet for his grade school band until he was 13. Here he learned the intricate concepts of melodies and chords and also how to read sheet music. By 1999, EaZy was 14 and in high school, and Da Villain Camp (formerly known as D.S.G.) was founded by T-Fly therefore the group needed a producer. While the group searched for someone who could complement their style on the production side, they soon realized they needed not look any further than within the group members themselves. Having been exposed to professional music production, recording, and performing at such an early age by his uncles Reggie and Vincent Calloway, EaZy took it upon himself to be the group's main producer and thus the creation of 3NP Productions.
