Music has always been an important factor in my life. I played guitar and piano at local church singings with my family from the age of 13. I met my wife of 37 years while touring with a Christian singing team at 18. I first majored in music in college (music theory, vocal performance, etc.) before being led in a very different direction. I worked designing, installing and repairing professional sound systems while obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I have been employed by NASA as an engineering project manager for satellite and aviation communications for the past 27 years. I was a church music director (now more commonly known as worship leaders) for 37 years before "retiring" to follow the call of song writing. I wrote many songs over the years and arranged others for use in church worship, performed vocal concerts, led worship, directed choirs and dramas and was responsible for special event planning. One of my goals is to preserve the rich heritage of the great hymns by updating (melody/rhythm changes, arrangements, augmentation) and introducing them to a new generation.
