Born Diane Tsholofelo Mtakati on the 14th of June 1991. ‘Celebrate’ was her first single, collaborated with the Krosfaderz and was released in June 2012. She is working on new material and will be releasing her new single ‘Bad Ass’ in March 2013. She started singing and performing at a very young age, but at the age of 12yrs old she started to pursue her dreams to becoming a Music Artist. Her mom enrolled her and her sister for piano lessons, where she learned how to read music notes and play the piano.
She studied at the Campus of Performing Arts in Pretoria, majoring in Vocal live performance & Music production/Sound Technology.
Going by the name H.O.P.E (yes spell it out!!) she is an upcoming Independent Recording & Performing Artist from South Africa.
H.O.P.E’s music and vocal sound is inspired by a mixture of RNB, Hip-Hop & Soul music fused together. Growing up she was exposed and listened to different music genres from Jazz, Rock to Classical pieces she now prefers not to be categorized into a specific genre. Allowing the freedom to just make good music.
Her love & passion for music is seen through her abilities to be diverse and tackle different types of genres and express herself with emotions.
‘H.O.P.E’ does not want to be only seen as a Singer/Songwriter. She wants to reach the points of creating art, with her music as a recording artist, whilst developing her entrepreneurial skills and abilities.
