Now at 38 years of age, Joshua Robert Moore, the mastermind behind Emotive Axis, has been a musician for 25 of those years. He started out in the 6th grade picking up drums and percussion and played in all the school concert, marching and choir bands throughout all his years in school. In high school and after, Joshua also played in original rock bands, still playing today.
Around 1996 was when Joshua first began picking up other instruments such as electric guitar and keyboards and started writing his own complete songs. Eventually he learned how to use the computer and software, virtual instruments and orchestras, samples and loops as his platform for composing and recording.
Though drums and percussion are Joshua's roots in music that he continues to be devoted to while playing drums in bands, composing and recording is his ultimate passion, where it's about the song as a whole. Joshua easily sees a vision of a film scene in his head, his most creative outlet in life for reflecting and processing what is in his sensitive heart, spirit and "old soul."
