My name is DBOY and i rep Minneapolis, Minnesota. I like to look at myself as a triple threat because I am talented in many areas. Composing music and writing lyrics became a deep passion of mine as a youth. I wrote my first complete song when I was in the 9th grade. From 12 yrs old to 15 yrs old i just wrote verses that had no ending, no format or nothing. Then i started to listen to a lot of r&b and began to learn the concept of a bar. While listening to rap i noticed that singers don't go for 16 or 12 bars they only use 4 to 8 per verse. When I learned the difference in that i began to write better. At one point writing hooks/choruses was my weakness. Now, its my streanght so when I'm composing a beat the hook comes to me a lot faster than before. Everday in the lab is a learning experience that i WILL NOT trade for anything. Making music sets my mind free!!!
