Anime Mc 7/2/2013 Written By: SWG The crew first started on the radio in high school. One of our members won the rap freestyle contest on the Mix radio show against other rappers. We used to practice rappping in the streets and eat lumpia at hip hop parties. We used boomboxes to make breakbeats and to make radio and cassette mixes. The crew was known as True Islander style, a hip hop graffiti crew. We first practiced spinning classic hip hop records. The first song we practiced in the streets was "Express Yourself" and "Something 2 Dance 2" on record. We then worked on breakdancing out front of a garage. I decided to ride my bike up and down Marina and did graffiti on the freights. The crew then had freestyle rap sessions and a rap battle track which was on a Scarface instrumental. The track was called "Trying Not 2 Fall". It was recorded at a gas station. The track was for fun and never reached the charts but our affilate did. I decided to cut a few tracks off my behringer and got ranked #11 in hip hop and #14 on the jpop charts. Cool!!! Did you know? Tis was mentioned in the hip hop movie "The Show"
