At the age of 7 I began to learn how to play the piano and gained a love for classical music. My mother was a DJ in the 80's and there I grew a new love which was HIP HOP. I remember my mother always telling me I needed to listen to the words and focus less on the beats. Once in middle school and high school my passion for music grew and I eventually started volunteering with various entertainment companiens. After high school I started my own Hip Hop news paper and record company (Akili Records). There was no internet back then so I had no clue as to how to run or what was needed for a record company. I had an ear for talent and durning school I was able to sign my first Hip Hop artist who to this day would be killing the game had things worked out in both our favors. At the end of High School I wanted to attend a recording engineering school in NYC but was not of age so I decided to join the military and did that for 10 yrs. While in the military after coming back from Operation Freedom I (Iraq) I linked up with others who had the same like mind and we formed lable Hostyle Entertainment. We had 11 artists 3 producers two engineers and various other people holding certian positions in the company I built. Out of the artist 2 arists were offered deals by two major labels and 1 producer was picked up by a major label to make beats. I stopped doing music in 2006 and focused on raising my son as a single father. Now I am back with full force to try this one more
