A native of Jacksonville, FL, Lankdizzim grew up in the city's Ribault Manor area on the Northwest side. From humble early beginnings, he was raised by his parents where he was the third born of four boys. Being mainly influenced by his older brother and the inner city neighborhoods of the 80's and 90's, Hip-Hop quickly became a life altering interest. " I remember my older brother listening to music tapes, and sneaking to listen to gangsta raps and watch music videos" Lankdizzim recalls. Past relatives also had musical, singing, and educational abilities which also seemed to thrive within him. At the age of seven young Lankdizzim and older brother "Laf" where entered into a " say no to drugs" rap contest where they placed third. " I remember seeing all those people when the curtains drew back, and forgetting the rhymes my mother wrote!", Lankdizzim explains laughing. No amount of practice could have prepared young Lankdizzim for that day, as he vowed to be ready when the stage was his again. Influenced by rappers like chubb rock, A tribe called Quest, Outkast, 2pac, Snopp and Dj Quick, Lankdizzim began to sharpen his street swag and define the MC he would later become. As a teenager, Lankdizzim began to explore different arts and sports while also becoming an MC. His older brother Laf had already began recording and naturally Lankdizzim followed behind.
"We just wanted to make music" Lankdizzim speaks on how it felt to follow behind his older brother "Laf", who had formed a beat production team with a fellow childhood friend "Pro". "I would write raps in middle and high school with my close childhood friend and classmate "J.Co" Lankdizzim says. Soon after Highschool, Lankdizzim and J.Co would ask to record with Laf and Pro. After a few studio sessions and a meeting of the minds. Lankdizzim, Laf, Pro, and Jco formed the Hip-Hop Group " The Prolegend Movement". The Prolegend Movement would go on to record over the next decade putting out local and viral music and video releases." "The Prolegend Movement is a super group of two great producers and 4 great lyricist, Laf and Pro made the tracks and I helped blaze them" Lankdizzim recalls. Today "The Prolegend Movement" is still active while each individual has ventured out into solo music, business, and production deals. Lankdizzim decided to put out the long awaited and highly anticipated mixtape " Hustlemania" which he describes as a culmination of all the frustrations of life which propel you forward to do extraordinary things even if odds are stacked against you.
