Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas until my early 20s where I started my singing/writing career. Influenced, by many late greats such as Whitney Houston, Patty Austin, and those still with us such as: Lauryn Hill, Angela Winbush, as well as, male figures like Avant, Musiq, Joe, and Mr. Donny Hathaway yet, so many more. I migrated to the Kansas City metropolitan area in hopes of perusing my music and never made the connection. In 1999 I moved with my then husband and our only son to Charlotte, North Carolina where I now reside. Continuing to work on my music I hope to build my name into a brand. I will launch my first new single in 2013 written and sung by none other than Deana aka Storm.
