Laze & Royal are rapper/producers from Hollywood, California. The group is made up of 23-year old twin brothers, Bennett "Laze" Armstrong and Justyn "Royal" Armstrong. Laze & Royal originally started as a group named 2XL, which was later renamed Hollywood High and then finally changed to Laze & Royal.
L&R have produced for platinum superstars: Bruno Mars, Ke$ha, Tyga, The Game, Christina Milian, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, New Boyz, Mann, Nipsey Hussle, VIC, Gucci Mane, Baby Bash, YG, E40, and Baby Bash. Laze and Royal are currently part of the band MY CRAZY GIRLFRIEND, and are busy recording and producing for artists around the world.
As the hip hop duo 2XL, the group released the full-length album Neighborhood Rapstar via Monopoly Music and Tommy Boy Records. The album was released on February 20, 2007 and most notably featured super producer Scott Storch, DJ/producer DJ Unk, Bay Area veteran E-40 and several others. The album's singles were "Kitty Kat" featuring E-40 and "Magic City" featuring Cherish.
