When five musicians get together in the same room, the sound possibilities are endless –various inspirations, unique ideas, and differing personal styles come into play. When Jesse Martinez (drums), Rene Garcia (guitars), Edward Contreras (vocals), Ryan Peters (guitars), and Semir Özerkan (bass) are in the same room, the sound is Pure Texas Metal, and the name is Perish the Land. Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Perish the Land first stepped into the Metal scene in 2006. They have been honing and perfecting their sound ever since and have proven to be a force to be reckoned with -- winning battle of the bands contests in San Antonio, performing with national acts, gaining radio airplay, and sharing their music worldwide. To them, metal has no boundaries. It provides the largest canvas for musical expression: from control to chaos, from melodic strains to heavy riffs, from blatant aggression to subtle messages. With a passionate dedication to their art form, PTL isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in taking Texas Metal to the top!
