Born and Raised on Chicago's Southside. Music has been apart of James' life since a new born. In High School he was introduced to music production by one of his Mentor's in the Digital Youth Network, Simeon Viltz. James was told he was gifted and had a nature talent for music production. James took this with him and kept working at it. Going from Garageband to FL Studio when it came to beat making.
James discovered his skill for rhymes as well with his rapping partner George Mikell Better known as Slick. G. They both started a group together called The Zoo Kru. Making single's like Go Hard Part I & II and Loose Control. The two parted way's when High school was over and started their own solo Career. They both still work together and still go by the Zoo Kru when they do tracks together. James has had many rap names from Mr. Retro to Teddy J to 2Versions to now T.R.3.
T.R.3 will be releasing his first mixtape called "Baked Goods" in the Fall of 2012. Featuring his partners from his start up label Real Deal Records. Taz and YT (Troy Nathans).
T.R.3 Attends Beloit College and will be Graduating in 2014.
