Even though I hardly had any institutional training on music, I cannot deny the fact that my family background is rich in music and arts. My mother and maternal uncle was top class playback singer of Bangladesh back in 70's and 80's. My father was a journalist, writer, poet and lyricist. I guess their works have always influenced me....and have made me the song writer that I am.
I've released few songs of mine with the help of my good friend Fuad AlMuqtadir, who is a fabulous and most popular composer of Bangladesh. I have worked in "Kranti" (experimental Rock Album), and Variation # 25 (Various artists)...with Fuad, and both of them were great hits in Bangladesh.
My most recent project is also with Fuad....in his latest album "Bonno" (still to be released) has four songs of mine that I have sung...and four more songs that are sung by others.
Until now...I have mostly worked for Bengali music...but God Willing, I do hope to work for world music...and create music for all people of culture, language, and race.
