Frequent collaborator with musicians in recordings, including two CD's with Capitol Records Gold Album recipient Henry Small (the former lead singer of PRISM) and one of Canada's most celebrated singers and actors, Tina Moore, who recently appeared in the Gemini Award-winning series, The Vetala. Our new CD, "the beauty of the city in the last hour of the night," was displayed in June 2012 at New York's Book Expo America as a result of its receiving a Silver Award in the Nautilus Book Competition (for audiobook) and being a finalist in the USA Book News International Book Awards (for poetry). My own previous "solo" work was a prize winner in the Artists Embassy International Competition, in San Francisco. I currently teach creative writing at a university in Canada, where I also am an English professor. Two new books of my poems have just appeared this summer, "after the moon a blue ocean" and "luminous orange," which follow upon a novella ("Oranges") plus an earlier book of poems done in collaboration with the painter Tricia Sellmer. Titled "Rumours of Bees," it is the highlight of a series of collaborations with this wonderful painter - collaborations that have taken us to many galleries and festivals where we have extended our multimedia approach to art to include music as well as painting and poetry.
