Punkh is a 5 member Rock outfit from New Delhi, India.
The band was formed in Germany 2004 under the name, Guru.
After releasing their debut album Ghoom with Times Music, India in 2006, the band changed their name to Punkh as lead singer and founder member Deepak Nair (Dean) decided on moving back to India.
In 2007 Punkh released its ‘self-titled’ album with EMI Virgin Music.
The high-energy band has had over 200 shows across the Globe and is a favorite among music festival goers.
Presently Punkh is completing the Karmah E.P into a full length album by the same name, to be released some time early September 2012.
