When I was 12, I had first heard Common’s “Be” album in my mom’s transportation car going to the bank. When I heard it, the most undeniable feeling came in my stomach…it was probably some of the most soulful and authentic music I ever heard. Since that day, I knew I wanted to make soul music like that, and I began relentlessly practicing to get better. It took me two years to finally make some progress and make a coherent beat…since then I’ve been on this journey to make the best beats ever, (may sound childish, but that’s my goal to this day).7 years later, I’ve made several professional quality mixtapes thanks to Mr. Scott Lee from Columbia College teaching me what I needed to know to not only mix well, but to be a professional and how be business-minded. The production quality I make is a true expression of my soul, and my only aim is to make sure that other people feel what I’m feeling at that moment in every beat I make.
