After actively serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, the Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran went on to graduate in the top 10% of his class with a letter of recommendation from the Recording Workshop: School of Audio and Music Production in 2003. He was nominated to and took part in the International Scholar Laureate Program's International Delegation on Music to Central and Eastern Europe in 2007. That same year, his earliest version of the song "Through the Void" was featured on To The Fallen Records' release, Rock: Vol. 1. Austin's win of 88.3fm WCQR's 60-seconds-only recording contest in 2010 sparked the beginning of his endeavor to record a full-length album. His debut album, Synesthesia, released in 2012, is an exciting high energy stop-and-go roller coaster ride of melodic genre twisting.
