Shad styles (real name: Rashad Bilal) was born June 7, 1988, and blessed with two loving parents, and raised in Elba, Alabama. He faced struggles with being bullied as a child and faced life as an outcast, Shad developed the talent of writing to getaway from his oppression, influenced and inspired by artists such as Bizzy Bone, Kanye West, the Diplomats, Lupe Fiasco. Shad started rapping in 2000 and teamed up with his long time friend, Young Prezident and formed the supergroup "the Chain Gang". Around 2008, after the group disbanded he teamed up and collaborated with the rap duo "Drama Faces" and released a collab mixtape together. He was approached by his best friend and fellow Chain Gang member, Mike Hall and was introduced to the true gospel message of Jesus Christ, he got saved and baptized September 14, 2008. He soon changed his lifestyle and joined a Christian rap group "G4:12" along with Mike Hall and A-lien. Releasing 2 successful mixtapes "From Home 2 Heaven" and "Life Guard" (with new G4:12 member, Magik). After years of ministry with the group, G4:12 disbanded and Shad started a solo career releasing his first solo mixtape "SoulFood". In 2015, Shad soon became a new member of Christian rap group, Nu Mind
