Terrance Hawkins, stage name T.E.A., was born on June 16th 1986 in Birmingham, AL. As a youth, T.E.A. grew up on the notorious Westside of Birmingham, a place where poverty, crime, and violence were everyday realities for the rapper/CEO. The artist managed to steer away from a life of crime. His introduction to Hip -Hop occurred in the early 1990s when the likes of Death Row, Bad Boy, Def Jam, and Houston-based Rap- A-Lot Records ruled the airways. As he grew older, he was introduced to the New Orleans underground rap scene, and at that very instance he realized that hip-hop would become a part of his life forever. At age 22, T.E.A. spent a summer in Louisiana and studied southern hip-hop music at its purest form by regularly attending local open mic showcases and analyzing every underground mixtape he could find along the Mississippi River. In 2010, following his college graduation, the rapper launched T.E.A. Entertainment, his very own production company, and the rest is history!!!!
