J. Armand Da Product (Jiro Smith) was born in Puerto Rico in 1984 on an U.S. Naval Base. Primarily raised in Birmingham, Alabama he grew up playing sports. An award-winning football, track, basketball, and tennis player; J.Armand is a dynamic competitor.
In 2000, J.Armand moved to Atlanta, GA and fell in love with music during his first guitar class while attending North Springs High School. His older brother (Lex) is his greatest mentor because of his own musical talents. Lex had his own rap group called "The Oreo Crew" in the 80's. J.Armand learned much of what he knows from his brother. His first passion was producing but in recent years he learned to "pick up the pen and MURDER ink... No dis to Ja Rule".
J.Armand has performed at Throwbacks and Scores in Atlanta and various venues in Alabama. His influences are: B.I.G., 2Pac, Eminem, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, & Talib!
