I've been into music my whole life. When I was 8 or 9 I was introduced to my first instrument in school, which was the recorder. That was mandatory. The next school year was when I could pick the instrument that I wanted which was the drums. I've been playing the drums since I was 10, all the way through middle school, high school and 'till this day. I've been in marching band, concert band, parades and competitions. When I was about 11 or 12 I found out about FL Studio through a friend of mine. So, since then I've been making music. I met a girl in school when I was 15. We were members in a band for a school production. She invited me to play the drums at her church. At that time I was anxious to get in and start playing. But the pastor had me wait a while. I started playing the drums the summer before I turned 16 and I've been playing at the same church ever since then. In the later years of high school, my music teacher since i was 10 years old, resigned due to teacher strikes and financial reasons. He was replaced with a music teacher, who mainly was a jazz pianist, that knew just a little about drums. At the level I was at it was only so much he could teach me. So, he challenged me with piano at about 17. I've been learning on my own since then. Right now I'm a college student just trying to make it. This is what I want to do in life. I won't stop until I get there. I feel like I'm so close to my goals I can almost reach out and touch them.
