The Rebel Download band was established in August of 2009 in the heart of East TEXAS, by lead vocalist/guitarist Jordan Phillips. Jordan was proud when he and his band were recognized in October of 2010 by columnist Lewis Spearman as Up and Coming Texas songwriter/performers, in Crosby's Star Courier. www.starcouriernews.com
February of 2011 is discribed by Jordan as a remarkable moment in Rebel Download's career. They signed with Highway 24 Records, they released their first CD "Keep It Real" , and their original "My Baby Don't Cry" hit number 4 on the local internet charts. www.reverbnation.com
In KANM's Student Radio (Texas A&M Student Run Radio Station) interview on June 10, 2011, Jordan, stated that RDB had reached a turning point that past September, during which time he and his drummer (Luke Reaves) decided to hire Charlie Reaves (Luke's wife) on Rhythm and Magan Phillips on bass (both women are Jordan's sisters). www.kanm.org
Jordan, has also been quoted as saying that he has come full circle, RDB is a family band. As children they were member's in a Country Gospel band with their mother.
