BUKU Entertainment was founded in 2011 by Reginald Keller whose life in music began in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1990s. Back in those days, Keller was locating and managing up-and-coming talent. His relationships with new artists involved booking studio time, live performances, and photo shoots; preparing and distributing press releases; placing songs on local radio; creating and producing jingles for morning radio shows; and all other facets of artist representation. During that time, Keller represented numerous artists and worked with Island Black Music, Jive Records, and Uptown Records, among others.
