I began midi composition in my senior year of college and have been composing since, though I've been on hiatus for the past five years. Before my hiatus, I won a Dallas Songwriter's Association award for Best Instrumental for a symphonic piece about 9/11 and was first runner up overall, competing against a heavily country group of artists. My first composition since my hiatus is a symphonic piece, inspired by my wife's debut horror novel.
