English Singer/Songwriter JAYL (Full name: Jayl De Lara). Lead Vocalist, Performer, Poet, Producer, Philosopher, Martial Artist, Teacher & Coach of Life. Jayl is essentially a solo artist but works with many great musicians, dancers and artists as The Band of Life. Founder of the Harmony School and Harmony Label in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England and the new PURISM genre of music. JAYL has been very much an underground cult artist, with few ventures into the mainstream. Produced a large volume of diverse and magnificent music and art since the 1990's, which includes 5 albums, 6 Ep's, 8 Singles, 4 DVD's, and in recent times from 2008 -2013, the cutting-edge dynamic and powerful sound of 'The Dance of Life' multimedia fusion project, which included the ground-breaking first Purism album - THE DANCE OF LIFE. Great-Grandson of world famous concert pianist and composer Adelina De Lara and cousin of Kit Hain, from chart topping 90's group Marshall Hain. Vocally trained by Hilary Western of the D'Oly Carte Company. Turned professional 1994 after backing from the Prince's Trust.
