I'm Jessie Litwin. I'm a singer-songwriter from Providence, Rhode Island! I've been writing music since I was 11 years old with my guitar and some immature lyrics. Over the past six years, my songs have developed into melodies with lyrics that mean something to me. I write about whatever is on my mind or what I see going on around me. The best songs always come from the most personal experiences.
The title of my first song was: "No Longer Invisible"; it captured the story of a young girl who felt invisible in the presence of someone she loved (who knows how my little 11-year-old mind came up with that one). The following year, I debuted my original music at a school talent show. I suddenly became what I was singing about: No longer invisible.
From that day on I carried my music with me everywhere. I went to sing at coffee houses and other open mics, ready to share my music with broader audiences; I was pleased with the looks on their faces after I shared that I was twelve years old and writing this music, but truly thrilled by being on the small little stage in front of an audience of about twenty, singing about my life in ways that nobody understood except for me because the lyrics were my own. I continued to write music, learning how to play guitar and about my vocal range, but learning more about myself than anything.
