From the mountains of Northeast Alabama, comes a new artist on the christian country/southern gospel scene. Growing up on sand mountain, he spent his time listening to great country and gospel music of old. Artists like Alabama, Conway Twitty, The Happy Goodmans, and The Oakridge Boys. Many people compare his voice to the great Randy Owen. He honed his music skills in his local church, singing his first solo at the age of nine. After many years out of Gods will, he gave his life back to the Lord in 2000 and it wasn’t long till opportunity came knocking. In 2003 he joined The Alabama Crossmen, where he sang tenor. Joining the c.c.m.a. in 2004, they had four hit singles and were twice nominated for group of the year. In late 2005 he joined a southern gospel group named The Unity Quartet, where he sang lead til 2007. They are still one of North Alabama’s favorite quartets today. Being a singer and a writer the Lord led him to begin his own ministry in 2008. Already having penned a #7 hit, “fisher of men” recorded in 2006 by christian country group The Boys of Alabama, and having a stack of songs still in the dresser drawer. He set out to do just that. Sidetracked by health problems, he still vowed to do what he felt the Lord wanted him to do.In 2011 he released his first album titled “ I just came to sing” a collection of handwritten material, written by him but inspired by the Lord. He still cosiders his talents to be a minstry and humbly uses them to serve the Lord. Music to glorify God, uplift your spirits, and to touch the lost with Jesus.
