Teanna was born in Houston, Texas on February 13, 1991. Teanna grew up in Dallas Fort Worth & attended many schools throughout the city. Teanna attended Church of God and Christ most of her life, joining her grandmother who she calls "nanny" Patricia Ann Lewis a wonderful Bishop with a wonderful voice, when she was younger she would always try and mock her nanny's voice, she says,"It's the most powerful thing you can experience".
Teanna's family was well aware of her talent & would always have her sing at any time any place, & she was never too shy to do so. When she was 5 years old, her aunt began to teach her songs by Jackson 5. Teanna would be riding around with her mother in the back seat listening to all types of 90?s music. One of her favorites was Blackstreet "Don't leave me girl".
In 2001, Teanna moved to New York for a brief period. She attended St. Paul's Community Christian School in Brooklyn, NY, & performed in many shows held by the school such as, The Maafa- African Holocaust, & The Wiz. She performed at Madison Square Garden with Y.A.D.T.S, presenting the "Christmas Carol". Not too long after, she migrated back to Texas. Teanna graduated in 2009 from Zion Academy in Ft Worth Texas. She then moved back to New York to pursue her music career, & is now working together with Devyne Enterprises.
Many artists inspire & influence Teanna, but her number one inspiration would be Johnny Brown, her father. Music was all her ever spoke about, and he would always remind
