Who Is D.V.F.?Just a man trying to be a better Husband,Father,Grandfather,Son,Friend.D.V.F. is the former lead singer/guitarist of the Christian Metal/Rock band,SozoRox (1st and 2nd place consecutively "Battle of the Christian Bands" Iuka,IL) After a 8 year stint of playing out in the tri-state area,the band is on hiatus for the time being.Currently I am working on tunes in the "Labratory" I love creating/performing music.....Performing live and seeing people enjoying your talent is a huge high!All my tunes are recorded by myself in a small bedroom studio.No fancy racks,no sound deadening,just bare bones essentials to get the job done (for now) My music comes from my heart.If I'm feeling a groove,I go with it.Why the name Darren Van Frankenstein?Darren is my real first name.Van is a nod to the man who made me love guitars,Edward Van Halen.Frankenstein is my music.Some of it may lean towards heavy rock,some of it may lean towards ballads,and some may even roam into hip-hop territory.I try not to dissect music too much,if it sounds good,makes your head bob,and makes you feel good.....somebody is doing their job.I hope whoever stops by enjoys the tunes,and please feel free to leave some love before you leave and tell your friends to stop by also :)
