Beatvillanz had music seeping through their bloodstream from early stages of their upbringing. Born and raised in Boston, MA, Juba laid his first tracks at age 15. He has been making beats and beat-boxing since age of 12 years old. As he studied other artists and producers, he realized that he could construct original melodies by adding and subtracting sounds of a beat with layering of a track. It is that creative rush that still drives his passion in making music today.
PhilGud came from a family of musicians and vocalists with church roots. He started playing drums for church when he was just 5 years old, even though he stopped, that was the start of his musical calling. As he got older, he would beatbox and hit any surface emulating drum sounds for freestyle rappers. He firmly believed that someday with practice and faith, his talents would reach the music industry big time and pay off.
PhilGud and Juba formed BeatVillanz in high school. Beatvillanz music is influenced by producers such as Rza, Dr. Dre, Heatmakerz, Neptunes, Timbaland, Mannie Fresh, JustBlaze, and many more. They work in a style that is quite diverse, and pertain to the ears of a wide variety audience of musicians, listeners, fans, and music seekers in general. Beatvillanz music style examples are western and southern hip-hop, R&B, techno, reggaeton, rap, hip-hop, christian, TV ad jingles, movie scores, etc.. Beatvillanz aim for a global sound that’s distinctive and eclectic.
