It was at the age of 11 that She'Kia Renea first discovered her Ability to Sing; Making her debut in her 5th grade school talent show. From there She'Kia's musically journey began. At the age of 12 she formed a gospel group known as grace divine. It was with this group that she first recorded two singles "this morning I rise" and "crying days" which were very popular on local gospel stations. She'Kia along with Grace Divine had the honor of performing on the gospel stage of Memphis in May, as well as, King Biscuit Blues Festival. By the age of 14 She'Kia made the transition from gospel to R&B. Thus, producing her first R&B album self titled She'Kia. She'Kia had the honor of recording this album in two major recoding studios House of Blues and Royal Recording Studios which is the studio of the legendary Willie Mitchell (producer of Al Green). Two of the singles "You are the one" and "Round and Round" were played on local and major radio station.
This album was sold in stores around Arkansas and some parts of Mississippi. When She'Kia was traveling promoting and performing her music, she was busy performing "The National Athem" for nationally televised boxing matching. In 2001, After a sudden unexpected death in She'Kia family she decided to put her music career on hold. Now in 2011 She'Kia Renea is back. She is currently working harder than ever on new tracks.
