Shakim was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario and is now residing in Toronto. At age 6, he started learning to play classical piano and continued playing for over 20 years. While learning Jazz, and classical piano, he became interested in R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae and Dance music and started producing beats at age 13. He has produced for local artist such as, Rasodon, Indi Feenz, Chris Jackson, Daeshawn, Alexa to name a few. His sound is known for its heavy hitting drums with tantalizing melodies and deep bass lines. His versatility and adaptability has allowed him to create productions for a wide range of genres. While studying at Trebas Insitute, he learned the art of Recording Engineering and has many hours of studio work experience. His vision is always to be one step ahead of the competition, which is why he is named "Sha The Future".
