Having purchased the nextbeat Dj console and testing it for a few weeks now i am finding it a very nice peice of equipment. The initial findings are that it works just like a Pioneer Cdj, if not better. There is an auto bpm counter which works quite well, small adjustments may be necessary but unlike some of the cheaper cdj units out there (not pioneer) it holds the tempo just as well as the Pioneer Cdj. There is the usual master tempo and beats counter you have come to expect with new DJ consoles. The uniqeness about this particular system is its slightly smaller than a CDJ 1000 and has 2x cdj and mixer in one - see above pic. So its a fully integrated DJ system all you need is an amp or a speaker to plug it into. The other main feature of this box is there is a guitar shaped controller integrated into the board that is portable, so let just say you can mix two tracks from the other end of the room via the wifi connection. This truly is the next generation of console for the DJ. The 16gb sd card will take most formats of music file including .wav and .mp3.
