Proctor (formerly known as Agz) was born in Plainview,TX, but moved to Virginia at the age of 2. Even as a child, Proctor had a fascination with entertaining the people around him. His dreams began to take shape when he started acting in local theatre, but the young entertainer soon grew tired of the image restrictions that came with acting. However, that didn't stop his obsession for entertaining and he soon found the sound he would fall in love with: Rap.
At the age of 16, a blessing came in the disguise of a curse when his family moved away from South Hill and relocated in Chesterfield. He began recording at Da Spot Recording Studio and working on his first "album". Knowing he couldn't afford to keep paying for studio time, he attended The Recording Workshop in Ohio. Proctor returned to Richmond to begin working at Da Spot and honing his rap and production styles, but still didn't know enough of the business side of music to advance his career.
Once more, Proctor found a blessing inside of a curse when he was sentenced to 2yrs for a malicious wounding charge. He spent the 21 months reading any book he could find on the music industry (promotion, running a label, distribution, etc.) and filling up 2 notebooks and a manilla folder with 210 songs (not THAT impressive, until he mentions he had writers block for the first half of his sentence).
