I am pleased to have been one of Albuquerque's first foreign exchange students from Sasebo, Japan: a "Sister City."
I graduated from HHS and moved back to Tokyo for a while. Then I met Jeff in Chicago and married him! We moved to Tokyo to raise our family. I am a teacher in a University in Tokyo where I teach English as a Second Language. Jeff and I have 2 beautiful children, and one grand-daughter. He is a full professor at the University of Tokyo in the TESOL department.
Things are shaking in Japan lately, so I was lucky to be visiting the USA when the first quakes happened. But Japan is recovering, and all my relatives are OK. My classes are full, and life seems to be going on as usual here. Don't believe all the bad press you are hearing!
