IYKE JOENEZ JNR (born in Lagos, home state origin, Imo State, Nigeria), also known as (Zickey), a United States based singer-recording artist from Nigeria. His brand of music can be described as Afro pop, R&B reggae rock. Joenez Jr released a solo effort in Nigeria in 1996 and sold about a million records and cassette copies independently immediately after the launching of his debut album tittled (I have seen the light) He is most popular with his late Dad's 1978 hit song tittled the Joenez story which he has just re-recorded and re-tittled (The Sun Will Shine Again) Ya know wha mean, the SUN go shine again. Joenez Jr started singing at a tender age. His Dad was the legendary Highlife/Jazz blues singer, late JOENEZ Snr of the blessed memory. Joenez Jr has adopted his father's name and honored it through his music. Originally he had no interest in pursuing a career in music, but all that changed when he met FELIX FELADEY ODEY who became his mentor and vocal teacher. Feladey truely helped me recognize my talent in music and am so grateful to him. Joenez Jr had various solo and group performances in advertised campus gigs such as the University of Jos, Miss UNIJOS contest, the Chevon Shows live in concert in former Imo Univesrsity, now Abia State University, the Aba Kings Cave club grand opening concert with Alex O. He has had other major live music performances at a very tender age in Naija & USA
