My name as an artist is Choc Mic (aka Michael McNeil). I am presently a 25-year young R&B singer whose music is a fresh mix of Soul and Hip Hop. For seven adventurous years I have been a full time artist working and performing in Philly, Trenton, Miami, and NYC, gaining experience with every stop. I am an accomplished songwriter and strong live performer. Using these gifts I have written and recorded over 70 solo tracks, not to mention all of my collaborations with other talented artists on their records.
Presently, I am working on my first mixtape; Choc Mic’s “SOULAR SYSTEM” with a Spring 2011 release date planned. This mixtape release will allow me to showcase my talents and highlight what I bring to the table as an artist. In addition, my new website www.chocmic.com will debut on the same date. I am very excited with this project, as it will act as a community for many of the talented people I have interacted with during my years in the music business. It is my goal for this to become a haven of creativity and innovation, encouraging collaboration among a myriad of different artists. It will include singers, rap artists, models, producers, musicians, designers, and other industry types. E Pluribus Unum!
I have toured the country several times acting as the hype man and back-up singer to Izza Kizza, a true rap innovator. I was part of the Crowd Control Tour that also featured 88-Keys, Kids in the Hall, and Donnis. As well a
