Cass' guitar music writing started in 1994 with early riff-driven songs recorded on a 4 track tape recorder. After a long hiatus, Cass began writing and composing music again in 2009. Aided with an 8-track digital recorder, this page features some low-budget rough cut home studio demos of songs written by Cass since September 2009 (and may soon include some collaborative recording efforts). All of the songs were originally composed on acoustic guitar. Most of the recorded versions posted here combine the original acoustic riffs with electric guitar overlays.
Primary music influences include The White Stripes, Sonic Youth, Eric Clapton, Collective Soul, The Beatles, Foo Fighters, Violent Femmes, The Velvet Underground, etc.; Also: Animal (from "The Muppet Show"), sounds of raindrops pounding on a tin roof, tones of a revving chainsaw tearing through hardwood, annoying car alarm noises, blasting airhorns....etc., etc.
